The Tadich Grill Tradition Comes To Pennsylvania Avenue In The Nation's Capital.
For over 164 years, Tadich Grill has set the standard for the ultimate San Francisco seafood dining experience. Over the past 142 years, John Tadich and the Buich family established a tradition for unique cuisine and exceptional service, gaining a worldwide reputation from regulars who return again and again to the high-energy restaurant on California Street in the heart of the San Francisco Financial District. After years of customer requests, Michael Buich has elected to bring the iconic Tadich concept to Pennsylvania Avenue between Capitol Hill and The White House.
LANDING SOON ON THE EAST COAST.
1001 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. will be home to East Coast's version of Tadich Grill. The new restaurant will reflect the concept of the original facility developed over the past 164 years. It will not be a replica of the San Francisco restaurant because original icons cannot be replicated. Those familiar with the original will find the same consistency in quality and attention to detail in food, beverage, service and ambiance. Tadich Grill is scheduled to open in Washington, D.C. in the first quarter of 2014.
TADICH GRILL'S ICONIC EXPERIENCE.
The new restaurant is a collaboration between Michael Buich and Gerard Centioli, CEO of ICON INC. Mr. Centioli searches the country for iconic restaurants which are best in class and have stood the test of time. His first partnership was with the founding family of Joe's Stone Crab in Miami Beach. That partnership brought Joe's
to Chicago, IL and Las Vegas, NV. Tadich Grill in our nation's capitol will be the latest collaboration to develop an iconic concept
RETAINING A CENTURY OF TRADITION.
The Washington restaurant will be under the direction of Rick Powers, managing partner and COO of Tadich Grill Development Company LLC. Mr. Powers joined the collaboration in 2009 bringing a wealth of food and beverage experience, including 30 years of direct restaurant concept development and management. As General Manager of the San Francisco restaurant, Rick worked in all areas to develop a thorough understanding of the Tadich culture – from menu development to customer service to how to mix the Grill's signature old school cocktails. Together with Mr. Buich and Mr. Centioli, Mr. Powers will bring those iconic traditions which have endeared Tadich Grill to San Franciscans for 164 years to a new audience on the East Coast. Rick will continue to oversee the San Francisco restaurant in addition to his new responsibilities.
THE SAN FRANCISCO ORIGINAL REMAINS UNCHANGED.
The original Tadich Grill is and will remain 100 percent owned by Steve and Michael Buich, the second and third generations of the Louie Buich family, to own and operate the business. Patrons will continue to enjoy the best in class food, beverage, service and ambiance that San Francisco has offered over the past 164 years.
TADICH GRILL IS ALWAYS AT THE CENTER OF POWER.
Tadich Grill in Washington, D.C. will be located at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. and 10th Street, in the heart of the political district, just as the original in San Francisco is located in the heart of the financial district.
